Your journal content stays on your device. The notes you write, the photos you add, your drawings and your journals are never uploaded to Minori servers; we do not run a content server.
There is no account, no advertising network, no behavioral analytics and no cross-app tracking. If you use a membership, the app store you installed from (Apple App Store or Google Play) and RevenueCat process your purchase history in order to verify the membership, prevent fraud and measure the performance of the subscription service. This data is never used for advertising or tracking.
Minori opens the camera only when you tap “Capture” on a page, and asks for permission at that moment. You can decline: everything else keeps working, only that button stops. The photo you take is saved into the app’s own storage and is not sent anywhere.
Picking from your library is a separate path and needs no permission. A photo is read only when you pick one; the photo you choose is downscaled and copied into the app’s own storage, and is not sent anywhere else. The rest of your gallery is not accessed.
When you share a page as an image, a story card, a PDF or a backup file, your operating system's own share sheet opens and you hand the file to the app you choose. Minori does not send data to those apps, does not match accounts with them and does not track what you share. What happens after sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the receiving app (Instagram, WhatsApp, Messages and so on).
If something goes wrong, the record is kept only on your device, in a log of at most 20 lines. This log is never transmitted; it reaches us only if you choose to attach it to a support email.
If you buy a membership, payment runs through the store you installed the app from — Apple on iPhone and iPad, Google Play on Android. We never see or store your card details. RevenueCat processes your purchase history and a pseudonymous app user identifier in order to verify the membership, prevent fraud and measure the performance of the subscription service.
The internet is used only to fetch membership prices, to purchase, restore and manage a membership, and to open the legal or support links you tap. Your journals and every editing tool work offline.
Automatic and manual backups are written to your device's own file storage. Depending on your device settings these files may be included in your operating system's own backup — iCloud on iPhone and iPad, Google's device backup on Android. That is entirely your device's service; we have no access to it.
If you delete the app, your journals go with it. No copy remains with us, because there never was one. That is why we recommend taking backups regularly.
The only record we hold is your purchase history. To request its deletion, write to hello.scannerstudio@gmail.com. The store's own billing records (Apple or Google) are not ours and we cannot delete them.
The app is made for parents. It does not request information from children and does not send any journal content belonging to a child to a server.
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date changes with it.
